What's this green bottle?

 And what does it do? My engine doesn't have one but this picture shows one in there…

Its a vacuum reservoir for the Pierburg 2E2 carb. When converted to a Weber carb with a manual choke its not required.

Interesting.

Mine was linked to the brake servo. I was under the impression it was just a back up reservoir for the vacuum feed for the brake sevo.

Hmmmmmm.

Wonder if this has owt to do with Clives running issues
