Does anyone have the type approval number?
I'm currently importing my car in to the UK, done the NOVA bit, and I'm on to the V55/5 form.
Does anybody have the type approval number and category for my vehicle or am I going to have to get a CoC from VW?
Its a Golf Cabriolet 1.8 GL auto lhd. (Carb)
The form is also asking me for co2g/km and other emissions data, |dont know if I have to fill these bits in, but if you happen to have the info, I'd appriciate it.
Thanks!

Just fill in the form as best you can
Include;
Insurance cover note
Valid mot
55 quid fee
Photocopy of your driving license
Date of birth letter or proof of manufacture date
Think that was it.

Excellent. Ta.
I found the type approval number on the vin plate, but oddly it doesnt tie up with the docs I have from Spain.
It says ABE Nr B042, but searching for that, I found a German site that says my engine was 1781cc, I have 1760cc on the Spanish Paperwork, so I dont know which is correct, and the 66kw option has the homlogation date as 89, and mine, as far as I know is 84.
This is the German site I found, quite useful for info:

I'd imagine it's a 1781.
But the cabby boys should be able to help with that more than me, also the vin would give you a close build date.

If you decode the VIN it will tell you what year, month, week, day and what number it was off the production line that week!
Plus any factory extras it was ordered with if any I think because I did mine six years ago now.
