Suspension help

 Hello hello.. Im sure this is going to be the first post of many to come..
Im after help with some suspension choice currently on with putting my 1986 mk1 convertible back together with the added bonus of a vr6 transplant…
What suspension would people recommend or have used them selves due to the extra weight the vr6 engine carries.. any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated and no doubt I'll be back for more help soon…
