Post

2003 Citi Life. The temp gauge goes halfway and the templight start flashing. Changed thermostat, distributor and fan switch. What can cause the temp light to flash. The car is not overheating.

Flashing light indicates low fluid, unless boiling over.
Check that your coolant is at the max fill line.
If it is at the min, then as you drive you may suck it down enough to uncover the probes.
The Probes also get calcified and will not be at the proper resistance to keep the lamp from flashing.
You may need to clean the probe tips.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

the sensor might be stuffed, had same issue on mates mk2 golf. read temps perfectly, but triggered overheat/low coolant light. pulled my hair out chasing wires till I swapped my sensor over to his car in desperation
