Mk1 Golf GTi - Wheel Alignment

Alignment Query

Hi all,
After replacing both the tie rods of my Mk1 Golf GTi, I took the car to have the wheel alignment checked.
The front wheels were adjusted to spec, however the rear left wheel toe is still out.
The tyre centre advised that the rear wheels are not adjustable and in fixed position. He said not to worry too much about it.
Could this be because the rear axle beam is slightly bent or could it be the stub axle?
Any feedback is much appreciated.
Thanks.

Toe is usually a bent stub axle….But you can use a shim and get it back on track.  Could also be a bent rim…

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Great, thanks Briano.
I have not noticed much wear on the tyre yet as I don't drive the car much. Will see how the tyre wears. If excessive then may look into replacing the stub axle.
Guess the only way to check if the stub axle if bent is using a clock.
Thanks

If it's driving OK and not scrubbing tyres etc I'd be inclined to live with it. If it wasn't for super hi-tech lazer measurement you'd prob never have known it was slightly out.
