Instrument panel lights

Hi I have a mk1 golf cabriolet 1983 with no lights on the dash or clocks ..? I have checked the fuse board and every thing seems ok..   Please help..

Have you twiddled the reostat that adjusts the light level? Fixed my mates cluster lights that didnt work (vauxhall) and he was about to pull everything to bits when I twiddled the adjuster and 'fixed' it

The bulbs if original are 30+ years old.
They are probably burned out.

Or bad connection on the gray/blue wire into the cluster.

Hi all, I have half of the cluster lit & the other not lighting where is the best place to get these bulbs from in UK. Thanks in advance.
