Hi, tock my Rivage gti to the ace cafe cartel meet last week and had a problem starting when leaving?? Once remote immobiliser is pressed I was hearing the fuel pump / getting dash lights on turning ignition but would not turn over (dead) It did start a short while after and made it home but tried pulling it out the garage the Saturday but same problem this time would not start, I have tried rocking back / forward in case starter motor is stuck but no joy yesterday?

automatic or manual?
Automatic
look for the installed heat soak relay, if not installed then do so.
Look for the interlock relay by-pass in the archive how to, under briano.
lastly ignition switch.
If you find the starter solenoid wire, then place the car in N or park, parking brake on full.
Keyswitch on in run.

Jumper the solenoid wire to the positive battery terminal.  If it starts, then heat soak relay isn't installed or the interlock is flaky, and lastly the ignition switch is faulty.

Manual is usually the ignition switch.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Manual DX engine, was thinking it could be a ignition problem or maybe linked to the immobiliser?

next time it does it, jump the starter red/black spade with 12v from the battery. if it cranks then its wiring, ignition switch or immobiliser fault. if it doesnt, starter or battery cabling issue
