Not sure you can buy them new?
1 on eBay but they do seem expensive…

Do not buy this one, silly money and it's not from a Golf as the electrical connector is at the wrong angle, I believe it's from a Polo.

Whats wrong with yours and do you need the whole thing, fuel pump as well?

I have a spare, it's from an 85 carb, I'm not sure there's a difference though? You can have it for £50 based on that price above!

Carb ones are different to fuel injection cars as they don't have a fuel pump fitted to the end.
You can buy new fuel tank sender without the pump new from VW heritage, this is the type of fuel sender fitted to early cars with the smaller fuel tank, pre 1984 ish

Just another thought as they might differ
Is your 1991 car K-jet or digifant fuel injection?
Part number for K-jet cars
533 919 051 F or possibly ending in D?
I'm not up on Digifant fuel injection system in Mk1 golfs so not 100% sure what sender/pump is in the fuel tank.

No as that does not have the fuel pump fitted to it and is a universal type, you will have running problem and fuel starvation when driving if you don't fit a lift pump in the fuel tank.
What is wrong with yours?
