Fuel tank refurb

Post

Hi all,
I've tried to find any previous posts about this but couldn't so far. I'm just wondering how people approach rebuilding their fuel tank? I've bought a new tank and had it powdercoated, new fuel level sender, new dampening tape, also aperture seal.
Which areas do people use the aperture seal on? Same with the tape? Any tips to do before reinstalling it?

Also powdercoaters kindly decided to rub down a couple pipes and leave them unprotected so have rusted, Any tips for fuel resistant paint if any?

Cheers

Zinc paint is good for rusted bits.

Once you have cleaned the metal shiny, and installed the tank the hoses will seal and protect the rusted ports.

They did this so that in the future you can get hoses on and off easier, and to prevent the powder coat from sealing them shut.

I would also spray the underside with Undercoat, it keeps the road debris off and is another level of sound deadening.
