Crankcase breather golf mk1 DX 1,8

 Hy guys,

can you help me figure out how crankcase breather check valve works?
and how he is affecting driving quality if its not working properly.. ?
Can it be eliminated yust leaving crankcase breath with pipe from air filter box?

IIRC isn't there  a restrictor in that part so that there is unequal vacuum pulls through that piece.

Yes i think intake manifold sucks from it restricted air. Air filter box sucks fully. But whats the point to suck the same air from two different places?
