1.8 auto pierburg

Hi all,
Could anyone post an image of the throttle linkage - 1.8 pierburg Auto gearbox?
Ive acquired a 1990 cabrio and the throttle linkage seems to be missing something, there’s a rod which just slides in and out without moving the linkage ???

What part of the linkage? The throttle cable runs from the pedal to the gearbox then from the gearbox to the carburettor.

Here's a couple of pictures of the carb end. From how you're describing it you're missing the spring and clip.

Don't know what the difference is between the two springs if any.

There are two springs, one is for the Mk2 Golf and Mk2 Scirocco and one is specific to the Scirocco. I believe one is a 7mm and the other is an 8mm spring. I've got the clip and spring should you need them. I believe the clip is available from. VW Heritage and the springs from Classic Parts.de
When you fit it put some cardboard under the car as it makes it easier to find the spring should it ping off. I made a piece up from a piece of copper tube to prevent the cable going backwards as you need three hands to fit it all.
