Mk1 Vs. Mini

Can anyone remember an arcade game not too long ago where you had a choice of mini, mk1 golf and a couple of others of the time, where you raced around a european city and down back streets???

There was also an option to play tag with a bomb???

Possibly the coolest game ever made!!!  8)

Yeah I do - town pub had it years ago - cracking game. I actually saw one a few months back but can't recall what it's called! ops:  Had a hand brake as well didn't it?

I think it might have been called club gti or something along those lines.  A pound a go and you could use a mini, fiat, golf and a lamborghini if you put a couple of quid in.  
Loved that game and spent too much money on it in my union at University.

Two player option on three types of game - standard, shortcut and something else
Not sure about the bomb bit but def had a handbrake which was very useful

we should buy one for the club and take it to gaydon etc and do club competitions, better than worring about driving your own car in an autotest as suggested before :dontknow:

Well for the lucky ones that can play pc games, take a look at this, i noticed it a week back, It is called GTI RACING and has mk1-5 golfs, beetles etc, everything VW.
Looks really good, but pc not fast enought to play it, so hopefully it will arrive on ps2

The only downside GTI club had was only 1 player could be a mk1, i can remember many times where we had to race to who could choose the mk1 first, otherwise you would be stuck with mini!

Surely someone should get this bought off ebay, theres would be queues to go on it at shows for a quid a go! In fact I might have to get it myself!!! :twisted:  :twisted:  :twisted:
