No petrol from tank
hi folks
what's the easiest/simplest way to sort this petrol prob? Don't fancy taking tank off, still got fuel in.
The engine runs from another petrol source (petrol can) so pump etc OK. New filter too.
anything simple I should look at?
Not too mechanically minded I'm afraid.

Sounds like a blockage to me. Possibly the dreaded filler neck rust problem.
edit: - im assuming there is actually petrol in the tank

I'd whip the rear seats out, remove the inspection hole cover (3 screws is a black plastic disc), then get a piece of wood and a hammer and tap the exposed metalwork underneath (fuel sender housing). It's a bayonet fitting so it only needs to be rotated through about 45? IIRC.
You can just see the fuel sender poking out of the hole about where the drivers side rear seat would be in this pic: -
Once you've got it off grab a torch and look inside to examine the state of the tank. You may be in for a nasty surprise - I certainly got one, and ended up having to buy a replacement tank. Try Crazyquiff or Scouse on here for one if you do need one.
