whats the bore diffrence between 1.1C ,1.8 gti

No idea - but it looks bigger - why?

Not sure on the difference but I measured my standard 1.1 and it was 1 1/2". Hope that helps

My mk1 is getting MOT'd tomorrow so fingers crossed for that. My dad drove it down to the garage tonight - was great getting it out on the road for the first time!

So why do you need to know the difference in bore size then?

Stock 1.8GTI is 2" bore, I think.

My ashley back box has a 2" pipe come to think about it and it was originally on the car when it had a 1.8 fitted. I got my 1 1/2 1.1 front section welded to the ashey backbox when it was converted.

just wondering  for the 16v was told that 2 1/4 size was best but might just use the gti one on it . good new i hope for mot m8 must be chuffed getting closer  :mrgreen:

stock gti is 44/45mm bore. the down pipe is a 2 into one job.
