dose any one know where i can take my 1.8 gti cabriolet to sort out my running problems, its come back from the garage worse than when it went in  any hellp appreciated   :?

I'm pretty good at getting K-Jet stuff working smoothly, feel free to bring it over and I can have a little look. I'm based in South Wirral, Cheshire.

engine had a misfire i fitted a new set of injectors and the problem was cured!! the engine will now run ok, but now when you turn it off and go to start it again strait away it just wont fire this happens for a while then will fire up again, turn it of try to start and just cranks over. fuel pump running got a good spark. have been told its the meatering head?

Its more likely the accumulator or non-return valve in the fuel system (round the back). I can do a fuel pressure test to prove this is the problem.

Actually….correction…..the above applies if it will start again straight away, but not if its left a while!

Thats more likely either

1. Leaking injectors
2. Mixture so poorly adjusted that the injectors open when the engine isn't running, eg just before cranking when you turn the key and the fuel pump runs (or on switch off when the fuel pump runs on for 3-4 secs)
3. 5th injector stuck open or leaking
4. Thermo time switch giving implausible opening time to the 5th injector.
