1.1C Exhaust Connecting Pipe

Hello,

Can anyone confirm what the exhaust connecting pipe does - does it just warm-up the inlet manifold or is there something else ?

I'm talking about the small flexible and connecting pipe that goes from the exhaust (just after it goes from 2-into-1) and up to bolt onto the bottom of the inlet manifold with a gasket.

hi there, i am quite sure that all it does is heat up the manifold.
