VDO switche live

I know this may have been asked before,sorry, but which is the best/easiest switched live to tap into to feed gauges in the console? Someone suggested the ciggy lighter (constant feed) and now I have flat battery   Any help would be appreciated.

i used the feed to the heated rear window switch for my battery volts gauge seems to be working fine been in a couple of months. make sure you get the right side of the switch though other wise it will only work when the heated window is on  :roll:

Russt - there are proper switched and constant 12v on the back of the fuse box.

This is the best way to connect any ancilliary in a Mk1 - anything else may overload the wiring.
