Oil Buzzer

Anyone know why oil buzzer goes off when engine warm?

I have a mk2 dash and clocks in my mk1, would this cause the problem?

It happens when the car has been running a while or i have been gunning it along an A road, as soon as the pressure on the vdo drops to around 1.5bar the buzzer sounds, when i accelerate it stops for a while and then comes on again.


Any help would be great,

Few things for me to try

Can anyone confirm that the oil breather for a 1.6 injection engine (81 GTi engine) is in the same place as the 1.8, i.e. on the gearbox end of the rocker cover?

If anyone's feeling exceptionally nice, could they provide me with a pic and a big pointy arrow?
