New heater fan - fitting?
All,
I have tried a new switch and a new resistor pack - but still, fan ONLY works in position 3, and even then it sounds rough. Not only that, when I turn it to posn 3, it sucks a LOT of voltage, so I think the fan is stuffed.
G&S sell new ones, but do I have to take the dash off to fit? I want to avoid this if possible!
Cheers

Yeh, unfortunately the dash has to come off to remove and refit it.

I'm sure I've done it from scuttle side, removing the wiper mech first. Its tight and fiddly but 100 times better than removing the dash.

Pretty sure you can get to it from the scuttle too...

Yeah just had to remove the lower sections of the dash and center console, then undo the four screws that hold the heater onto the scuttle panel, its a pig of a job mind you !!!
