HELP - wierd rev gauge n lights

Hi i have a RIVAGE,

i just read a post similar to this but no finished feed back.

today i drove to work and everything was fine.
on my way home near my home drivers started flashing me about my lights being off, but the switch was on, i pressed the fog lights and my lights came on.

when i have the lights switched off the rev counter works fine, when i switch lighs on the rev counter drops to 0 zero and doesnt move, if i fiddle with the dimmer the rev counter moves a bit.
my temperature show too hot then ive ever seen thinking that my fan was not kicking in. i didnt see my fan on at all.

when i press the button on my FOB i would usually hear a click and the central locking motors, now if i press the light switch i can hear this click.
mfa also goin wierd.  :dontknow:

i just spoke to a m8 who will come and check my fuses etc…
i just spoke to my mechanic and he says that probably a loose wire probably earth or fuses.

this is worryin me, dont want to have to take my baby to someone i dont know and end up spending a long time paying them off.
please any help is gratefull.
this just happened today and wont be driving until i can sort this

May be worth checking the earth wire that goes to the back right hand corner of the rocker cover. Mine displayed the same type of problems when mine had come off.It is definately a earth problem.  :banghead:

Thanks for the replys

IT WAS RAINING

i was looking at the wire on the rocker cover last week, didnt know what wire this is, all i knew was that the tape around the wire was coming off at the connection with rocker and wire and some tiny bit of kinda powder.

i had the car out last winter and this never happened,
i have not checked the car yet but will 2mrw as i am at home,
the wire i see is at the ront not the back, does this matter?

when i check will post, n e more ideas??
any other connections to loof for?
