Fusebox out of a MK2 into a MK1

ok ive got some of a wiring loom fromthe fuse box to the steering column and the fuse box out of a MK2 8 v  ithink is this hard to fit to my 1981 or shall i just leave it out and repair the original?

You'd be better off repairing the Mk1 loom (use wire from the Mk2 loom as required).
If your own '81 fuse box is no good (usually suffering from being wet), you'd be better off getting a new one.
GPC and GSF(?) do them. Be sure to specify that it's for an '81, as '83/'84 Mk1's have a different fusebox (and loom).
