Where to check standard fixings for full resto

Post

I've been bagging and tagging a lot of the nuts and bolts I take off during my resto. but….

Is there a one source of truth for which fixing type to use where, what grade bolt and what torque to tighten too?

I've got a copy of etka that need to get running, hoping this will answer my question.

But for an example the front seats fixings - is there an exploded diagram of what fixing to put where etc? and how do I find this info.

It looks like buying all new stainless fixings is going to be a large proportion of my costs!

I'm doing a 1.8t conversion so if there's something similar for the mk4 I'd be interested too!

Stainless is a very soft grade material for a bolt. So in certain areas I wouldn't use it

Yup sorry! Will be using graded steel bolts for bits taking any kind of load.
