1.3 Driver

Hello all,

Couldn't really find a category to put this post in so hopefully this is suitable.

Looking at changing the wheels on our Golf and wanted to ask what pattern/specs the mk1s have that I need to match to new wheels? 4x100 pattern I believe but any other numbers I need to take note of?

Also, any suggestions for new wheels? Like the Teledials in black but I know these need adapters. Do newer VW wheels fit mk1 golfs?

Cheers

offset should be 38 on stock stuff

newer vw have larger pdc such as 112 and have usually moved to 5 stud also.

i think Porsche adapters are 5x130 to 4x100 to fit, i think 20mm thick is average.

i was going to get teledials myself and it seems a lot of folk go for a staggered set up.

i pressed the little red button

Have been looking at the Up! Classic alloys which I really like the look of, these are 4x100 fitment. You think these would be direct replacement? Or the pcd would be different?

I really like the teledials, the staggered looks pretty sweet!

Up! alloys are nice

They have the same pcd and centre bore so will fit a mk1, but I'm pretty sure they are 16x6 et43 so would need spacers as the offset is a little high for a mk1, and you'd probably need quite low pro tyres to make them work, not sure if much goes into fitting 16s but I think quite a few people do it so should be alright if you like the look
