Tested my WUR on the car with my mate, got good readings. ohms on regulator & 9.4V on harness connector to show it is working ok… Took out the Air Filter, started it up & flushed the air hoses/throttle body with Wynns, cleaned the meter box too. running a bit rich so needs a tune (lots of stuff done to come to this conclusion) Took her for a spin & felt pretty good, smoother & sounded neater on ticking over - -that was yesterday. Today i felt it was time to get rid of wires that previous owners had put in the car, back seat out, door step trims out, bonnet up…. somebody must have had a server in there or something!!Ã, :oÃ, heavy wires, aerial connector, phone line connector!!! i kid you not & something that looked like a scart/aux connector for the back of a PC!!! Houston we have a problem… so all out, from under the carpets, traced 2 cables to the battery too.. finally done it. Nice to have it neat & tidy. trims back, moulding on, rear seat back on job done.

Ã,
Are those crocs?

yes mate… strapless too… had a them a few years… my working on the car shoes  come in handy just to slip them on & do whatever… hows ya motor coming along??

Give her a clean too… ready for a tune as a mate said about a fuel smell so running rich…

Hi any one who uses a trailer to move vehicles I can highly recommend you opt in and go and get the trailer mot.
It is optional but as the gross train weight is hmm fairly heavy it is advisable.
This happened at 5mph A frame failure.
Going over speed ramps (bumps)
Was towing 3.4 tonnes behind a 4x4.

Fitted replica wheel bolt sticker inside bootlid, lubricated passenger front window channel, gave engine bay a quick spruce - lots more to be done here - and re-stuck down bits of front carpet. Oh and the daily quick detail!

Adding to my trailer failure I found very little beefing off the joint. Trailer next to it had 200x400x10 plate added .
At least it happened when arriving home.
Posted after seeing you guys chatting over what car pulls best anything can move off but if you towing a failure.
Go large on frame build.

Well this is not really my Mk1 but the Mk6.
However I've just ordered a couple of these for the Mk1, LED interior bulbs 💡

The old classic bulb, which is not that old.

DSC_0510.JPG

Now with the latest LED.

DSC_0509.JPG

That photo was taken in day light and they look amazing at night.
I'm sure a lot of people already know that but I thought I'd share.

Not expensive if you shop around.
So 1 down and another and 9 to go!  👍 😀

This is the company I got mine from http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/premium_led_store?rt=nc

I'm sure there are plenty of other companies out there but he had the lowest price with post and as he had the "make an offer" I saved £2 on the deal which was the cost of the post but my Mk6 takes 11 of these little blighters.

MoT garage sorted the fractured metal around the clutch cable - will tidy it all up when the engine gets pulled over winter.

In the meantime, another year of (hopefully) trouble-free topless motoring.  Well, six months before it hibernates again..
