Sorry to hear about your car, there are too many low life's that think its fine to steal what we have worked hard to buy. So sad! May they rot from their fuel pipe downwards!

Anyway have put new rotor arm and interior LEDs in hand luggage, new headlamps, pads and bulbs have gone by post, should land in Spain at 9.30 and collect Sportline from car park.

Hope you find your car in good order, cheers

1992 Red 'Sportline' LHD from France now in Spain,
1991 White' Young Line' GTI LHD from Germany that I can not take to Spain because of Brexit!😒

the car was found but the police have had it since Tuesday night and they wont let us know anything which as I said is extremely annoying as I was getting the car ready to be sold to a friend at the end of September/October as need a 1.1 or 1.3 mk1 due to the cost of owning a big block for me,have a wanted ad up if anyone knows of a car :)

Marc I can only assume the car is being forensicated mate for any potential leads.

I would ring them for an update and ask when they envisage having the car ready to release to you :)

Good luck mate

Well, a very productive day yesterday. Managed to fully fit the new red carpets, although I'll be whipping them out to refit at some point soon as they aren't quite perfect.

Fitted the arches and sideskirts.

Drove to MOT station and passed with just advisories on front brake hoses.

Got it home for the first time since december and gave it a wee wash:

Reconnected odds and sods in the engine bay. Fired her up first thing and she idled beautifully.

Went to fire her up later on and she was like a bag of nails. Much smoke later we think the wrong starter motor for the car was getting stuck open on the flywheel and has shafted it  :P  :P  :P  :P

Had my bodyshop mix a light mix of lacquer and black paint to tint some clear rear lights and they've come out better than the aftermarket smoked lights! I'm very impressed:

Not all today but over the last couple. Replaced all suspension so its back to original. New clutch cable and accelerator cable. New air filter cleaned the inside of the hood (whoever recommendedastonish oven cleaner were right its very very good) and got the outside nice and clean, surprised how blue a clean blue hood really is!
