Sorry late on parade! Have not been able to keep up with the email string! Well done the winners for the last one. No plates on this one so I presume it had diplomatic ones? So needs to be registered? £3285 for me please

Oh no, you'll either have to guess the two things or wait!

The reason it has no number plates is because its off the road the at the moment. It's the same as you have in the UK, SORN, that's the only reason.

You'll get the final two clues tonight!

Okay as the second half of this match gets underway time to give the final clues in the mini game.  :)

The car was owned by a Diplomat that much we know already. Which country is not important here.
Diplomats who work abroad get treated extremely well, like Royalty almost.
Benefits the likes of you would not believe and before you ask, no I'm not one of them unfortunately!

Now because of these benefits both the Diplomat and the car itself have benefited greatly?

So what are they and I'm looking for two?

1 bonus point for each and to sweeten the pot a little gift from the Club Shop which has been generously donated to GAP by the Club!

By the way Christmas is coming so give someone you love something special this year and click here (if you only love yourself and your Mk1, that will work) :Mk1 Golf Shop

Hmm if I had flowing cash aplenty, or rather the government was covering my expenses I'd have had ziebart rust treatment hence the no rust and supercharged as a covert sleeper getaway car. That's my guess anyhow.

How about the diplomat has benefited from not having to pay any road tolls as diplomatic plates waive the toll fees.

diplomatic flags/country flags on the wings?

Another try - as its a government car the car is specially maintained by government or Dealer technicians to a more stringent standard.

Just made me go back through the thread and read it all didn't you!!

Mike was it a gift then? Perhaps from someone important in Austria? Do you have a president, queen? King of the mountain goats?

Finally!
Well done easternkris for nailing it.

When a Diplomat buys a car whilst working abroad they will have the following benefits.

Depending on the make, model etc… between 20 to 30% discount.
It's tax free, duty free, import charges free, VAT free.
Shipment free both in and out of Country.

So massive savings but they must keep the car for two years before selling it. That's unless they leave the Country and take it with them.

Not a bad perk is it!

@36crazyfist
So Si, one bonus point for the winner please.

Don't forget there's another one where the car benefited as well!  ;)

Well done, one bit guessed.

Just a bit stumped though Mike as to why this would make you want to buy it though - the tax free perks don't get passed onto the second hand buyer do they?
