My six figure Golf

Well not in £'s but today my car cracked the 100,000 mark, on the way back from the Really Retro show in Stafford. That's just 3,000 pa but at least 72,000 of them have been with me at the wheel.

nice final touch was coming third in show!

Very quickly and a little :offtopic:

When mine hit the magical 100,000 km mark I was driving into work and as I was in slow traffic I grabbed my Mobile so that as it hit the perfect number I could take a shot.
As it happened I reset the trip to all zeros and leaning back in the seat clicked away. :thumbs:

Well I did get the perfect shot but when I look up and out what was in front me?
Yep you guessed it a Police car, so I've gots three shot of the special moment and the others are of the butt of an Austrian Kop car!

Still got a few more mines to catch up with me..

Up to 270,000 all on original engine and gearbox, even the clutch had not been changed! Just changed over engine so old one can have a rebuild.

1988 Mk1 Golf GTi Cabriolet 1.8cc DX, K-jet. Daily drive. 317,000 miles and counting
1978 Mk1 Scirocco GLS 1.6cc FR, Webber carb. Weekend toy.
