280mm front brake conversions

Thinking about this, don't want to go the usual g60 conversion this time. Looking at one of the alloy caliper conversions. How ever I suspect by their very design they all need wheel spacers, which I am no fan of. So whose tried one, (which one)  and what are your experiences.  thank you.
