Coilovers or uprated shocks
I am after some advice if poss, I have mk1 convertible that I purchased last summer it came with a set of H&R coilovers on it. It does sit very low and is a very hard ride. There doesn't seem to be enough adjustment to raise it to the height I would like 30-40mm from standard, I was thinking about getting some longer springs to change the ride height. I am now wondering if I would be better getting a new lowered kit (not coilovers) so would not be quite so bumpy poss spax or another not too expensive.
thanks guys

Do they adjusters on them for stiffness within the shocks at all? A little knob either at the bottom of the shock or on the top where they stick through the body.
Any pics or product numbers?

Bilstien B4 - reasonably priced and well respected.
Koni Sport - a bit more expensive, but adjustable damping (what I am going for).
Bilstien B8 - A little more. Some find them a little stiff, but they are meant to be very good.
There are plenty of other options, but those come up a lot.

You can find them as a kit if you go for the springs as well.

The fronts in the pics are insert dampers, but the pic are often wrong though. Can always call to check.
