It was amazing that I had about 10 pounds of hardware amongst my tools.
I sorted out the various Coffee Tin's and sorted those by type, ie: wood screws from washers, sheet metal screws, bolts, trim screws
so now I can find that one special washer or bolt faster.
I then turned my attention to the various parts drawers that have been crammed with things since I started to get back into the VW scene.
I freed up 2 1/2 drawers, and lumped the things together, as in body parts, clips, handles, in one, electrical things in another as in 32 Relays of Various sorts.
Along the way I found spacers for the struts and internal and external lock rings, 2 ball joints, a inner tie-rod, as well as 2 tie-rod ends, a brake hardware kit, power steering bellows, 4 rear handles for windows, 3 sets of Top Latches, receivers and the whatnot covers.
I tossed away about 30 pounds of screws and nuts, and Blue CTS sensors, as well as old used plugs, wires, and cap, I kept the rotor, as I already had 2 good wires and a old cap as a oh-oh. I found 3 new wheel cylinders, and a complete set of rear inner/outer bearings and 2 seals.
A new main crank seal for both mains. 3 working struts for the top with Spacers and clips, and a ton of things I had forgotten I had.
Now I know where my spare spindles are for the front, as well as my blower motor and heater control unit… I can't believe that I had snagged about 5 different switch covers for the dash….. I even found Baby-Crib hardware, that hasn't been used in 22 years.

It is amazing what you can find once you start cleaning….
Now I need to go to the basement and start tossing the 2 tranny's and things…..
I may have to start a craigslist forsale thread as I have interior door cards and things from an 89….. No I won't ship.

Don't Cry, one is a TJ and the other a TNA, the tj had a broken differential carrier, that rips the seals. The other has a bad pump, yep both are autos.
I got plenty of travel with them…. they died before their time. Oh, the TNA's diff had a intermix issue… so i swapped the diff from one to another…
