R32 conversion

I have just managed to pick up a complete running, driving and freshly mot'd mk4 r32 for a cheap sum as the bodywork is very tatty, ideally it needs a full respray.

Now I can't get the idea out of my head of doing the conversion to my mk1. I've seen a few great threads on here of conversions that are underway but has anyone on here successfully finished one? I know a few exist as I've seen the videos but do any of the owners reside on here?

What mounts, gear box, driveshafts, hubs etc does everyone use?

I know of someone who can help with the custom loom, wiring side of things, the same with the exhaust.

Anyone that has carried out this conversion, I'd love to ask some questions.
