My mk1 golf misery

Hi all
I thought I would share my sad little story.
In 1994 when I passed my test I decided to get a mk1 gti for my first car, I've had 4 more after that.

After over 10 years without a mk1 and coming up to 40 I decided it's time to get another so 2 weeks ago I found a lovely little clipper and went to work on it.

2 weeks later and the car is gone.
First thing in the morning Some idiot drove down my road with condensation all over his windscreen and the sun shining bright didn't see my little cabby and shunted it about 30 yards down the road and into another car so that was the end of my little golf.

The painfully part is I caught it all on cctv
On the plus side his insurance company paid out the next day so it's time to start looking again.

That's ridiculous, could have been a group of kids waiting to cross the road, trouble with modern cars with their steeply raked windscreens/poor vision.

Unless you're in a belting hurry to spend your money I'd wait a few weeks when the weather changes and the prices come down.

Sell in the spring and buy in the winter!  

If you fancy something silly…..I've got a mate selling a 20v Turbo Cabby! Nice leather, red, small bumper bits of chrome etc. Needs some minor tidying and the mega squirt system sorting. He's looking for around £1500 i think.

Sorry to hear about the loss of the car. But, as has been mentioned, at least there wasn't a loss of life.
