I was watching an online auction on Car & Classic last night and a Rivage 'allegedly' sold for £27,250, see here -
1991 Volkswagen Golf GTI Rivage For Sale By Auction
Does anyone else have any thoughts / expectations of what Rivage's go for at the moment price wise as that seems a lot to me?
Anyone know the car at all as it has a MK1 Owners Club Key Fob in one of the pictures?
Any info would be appreciated as I have a friend who has a Rivage in amazing condition and he is umming and arring about selling it so it would be nice to get an idea on current values and expectations.
Cheers

It looks like a pumped up price for some reason, but would be interested to know if anyone knows this car or the owner to explain?

This car has a tyre from the 37 week in 2008 and another from week 1 2010…. And that's the only 2 tyres I can see well enough
But I guess if you have that much to spend on a Mk1 you would bin the old tyres and fit new as they are the only thing in contact with the ground

In regards to the 10yr limit, I think that only applies to HGV and Class 4 vehicles.

You can't really base values on one single spike in the market but then what do I know I only buy - I never sell!!
