Allow for traffic and get there early.Through the holidays they have been known to get to full capacity and sending people away. This happened to my dad taking my niece and nephew last summer

Never been myself but a friend of mine has taken his kids a few times. He says is fantastic. Got to worth a shot. Check out reviews  on line. I've never heard a bad word about it.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I'm actually looking forward to the trip myself. I have two boys so guess they will have big smiles on faces when we tell them. Hotels are proving to be expensive in the area… ah well.

Cheers Hugh.

Went a few years ago in the camper had great time, word of advise bring anti bac wipes as all those little sticky hands carry some nasty bugs, just ask Nadeina who was not very well after our visit. Also bring a picnic as most places are packed, get there early. Water proof poncho for some of the rides.

Hi Hugh

I just got back from legoland

This is the second time we've done it.

My kids loved it. It is pricey but we used Kellogg's cereal box vouchers to save on the tickets and bought a q-bot device (cheapest tariff) to avoid long ques.

Get there early it opens at 10am.

We stayed at the Novotel at heathrow, fantastic hotel and we tripled our tesco vouchers and that paid for the hotel.

All in all we had a lovely couple of days.

Q-bot is not cheap, when I went last year it was about £120 just to jump the ques, total rip off.
I got some free tickets so keep an eye out for offers as if you just turn up and pay on the gate it's the most expensive way, you do need to pay for your parking and pay for it when you get in as there is very long ques at the end of the day for the parking machines.

I went with my wife a 6 month old baby and a 2 year old so we only did the small kids rides so there was no real ques anyway as we went out of the school holiday's.
There is alot of walking involved as it's a big site but we all enjoyed it and will go again when the kids are bigger.
If you are after bigger faster adult rides go some where else like Alton Towers as the name suggests it's LEGO LAND (kid friendly stuff)

Ok some good tips there. Thanks folks.

I think our two boys will be fine. The older guy is Lego mad and the younger one will prob be more looking at stuff than participation. The q bot thingy is that just to avoid the queues? I've seen it on there site. What kinda times for queues? What the start of school holidays in July?

Looking at staying as close as possible to the park. Maybe Windsor itself.

Cheers Hugh.

Just looked at the wed site and I was wrong on the price, for the top one it's £75 each.. or £15 each for the lowest number of things.
Start of summer school holidays here is Somerset are Monday 20th July (some schools may take the Monday as an inset so the kids break up on Friday 17th July)
1/2 term May 22nd for a week. The school holidays do vary from regions but are are around the times I've posted.

All about Q-bot

Thanks for the help so far…

Ok took the plunge today and booked it - Hotel, Legoland entry and parking. Going for three days to Legoland and treated the boys to the Q bot thingy on one day when we have it sussed. Heading on the monday 20th of July as that what best suits us. I know it coincides with holidays. Just have to book the crossing next.

Any recommendation for two nights in South Wales?

Cheers Hugh.
