Injector sleeves!

Some will know from previous posts that I have been hunting for the correct bloody injector sleeves/housing/bushes for my mk1…..

£15-£17 each over here and  have been almost impossible to track down (part no. 063 133 555a), 16 cents each in the states!

Took the risk and bought 2x3 sets and forked out silly money for postage however still substantially less than total prices over here Well They have arrived!!! Whoop!! ( by the way, have 2 spare if anyone ever struggles to find some)

Feel free to be disappointed in this post but for anyone who knows how hard it is to track down certain parts then finally find them will know exactly why i wanted to share the news lol

Yes getting the right parts is always a good thing.  But 6 for a 4 Cylinder car?  :)

Postage is always a pain, I can remember in the oldie  when days, when trying to get parts from the UK, and everything from inquiry to placing the order was all via the snail mail, then being quoted the price in Pounds… I had to convert Dollars to Pounds and send a Money order in Pounds (took 3 banks before I found one that would convert dollars to pounds) to a UK supplier then the addition of customs fees my side as well as waiting 6 weeks to get the item….It was Christmas in July let me tell you.

ps.  Saying where you got them from is a good thing as well.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Good news!

Of course, what we really need is friendly folk in the country of origin to receive the goods, and then post on - saves on import duty, and often postage costs.
Last year I bought some ARP con-rod bolts as they were cheaper to by ARP in the US, than genuine in the UK. Postage was going to be a killer - free delivery to US address though. Managed to find a friend of a friend to take delivery in the US, then snail mail them over.
