just been told i need new coilovers on my 1986 mk1 1.8ltr cabriolet

anyone got any suggestions which ones

new coil overs, or new struts, and aren't your coil overs cartridged? Which means that you can replace the Cartridge?

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

total new coilovers apparently the ones on are knackered

This is big of a mine field as the proper OEM suspension is technically called a coilovers due to the way the coil spring goes over the shock as opposed to being separated like on the rear of most modern cars

So are we talking proper shock and springs set up is knackered or are we talking those nasty, adjustable but never will be, unnecessarily hard things we've all bought at least once and regretted.

If it's then first option then the internal strut can be removed and replaced so even if leaking all is not lost
