Here is a link that has a good tutorial on CIS injectors and some home-made tools, but include his welded one.

I will say from what I have heard that you still need a block of wood over the valve cover as you pry so you don't ding that with a pry bend.

If I had one I would measure it and you could probably make your own easily enough….Sadly I have only digifants…

I seem to remeber taking mine out with a large flat bladed screwdriver, or an adjustable spanner adjusted to the injector hex  so it then pushes on the pipe hex.
I definitiely remember it being a real PITA and a few scraped knuckles.

They usually don't so you have to buy either a set, or individual….

The digifants o-rings are cheap about I think 2 bucks over here for a set of 8.

I know when I would go to the parts store to get an individual set, it was like 5-7 bucks and included all the stuff for a CIS set…..so that is 5X4 or 7X4…. as compared to 2 bucks…

Thanks for the offer. Not sure what to use. The ones I pulled out had the hat and an old ring that could have been green once. The ones I just bot dont have the hat or the ring but are the correct type for my engine. I bot some o rings from GSF. I thot there was only one ring to go on at the top??

Hi con

Erm if had cap should have both grey/,black on the internal cap side. And green one on  the outside nearest the hose.
If you removed injectors with caps on, and it was running ok, then I would have thought put similar back in. As the ceramic seat thingy is in there.

Any how either way the green o ring from link I sent previous goes nearest to hose.  The orings are available most places I shared ebay 1 as it's where I get mine from.

Same part as sent you in the ebay link. They are all same kit.
Mine all have shroud collar, that's 4 dx 1 jh and 1kr,this is why asked , was it running before on old injectors that was in as you could unintentionally make an issue of you change to shroud or non shrouded.

I followed the link and ordered new rings and collars.

The car was running until recently when it kept revving real high then dying. It had been lying outside at painters in the rain and got soaked through (cabrio). Since then it ran terribly. The engine was not getting fuel. I done some test and replaced relay but no fix. I decided to replaced fuel system parts as never been done before and the car is an 85.  I have new in tank lift pump, main fuel pump, injectors, clean lines.
I also had a small engine bay fire removing old filter. I got a spark when the wrench touched battery terminal despite being disconnected.  I installed a new box/fuel meter/filter/ leads just want to seat the injectors properly and get running again. Even though  cant go anywhere. Luckily wiring is OK.

Should I replace the injector seats as well? Afraid to drop any krap into engine.

Would just shine a torch down there see if any cracks or damage before changing them.  You could cup the petrol and see if flow is equalish. Glad you got some seals. Check gap on spark plugs too and that leads are correctly fitted, dont know why but the white cabby I picked up and now on sale didnt have nipples removed to fit leads. More luck getting a spark than design, that gave lumpy ride
