Mk1 karmen Golf Cab

Time to sell my Mom's Mk1.

Overall the car is in good condition. It has alloy wheels from a mk2 golf which are in good condition. The electric roof operates as it should and is in perfect condition. The interior is in very good condition and has no rips or tears. The Golf has electric windows, but the passenger one is intermittent, I will try to sort this before the auction ends. Drivers side is one touch up and down and works fine. The engine is standard as far as we know apart from the carb, which has been uprated at some point. I have to say that it drives extremely well considering its age. The low mileage of 70k is genuine and you can tell this by the interior and the way it drives. We also have a few old MOT's to back this up. The Golf has a fresh MOT for which it only needed a bulb for main beam. The tester did comment on the front tyres being low on tread and not in great condition, these will be replaced before the auction ends. There is also a CD player in place of the standard cassette item. There is currently no tax, however we will try to get 6 months put on before the auction ends. Over the weekend I will do a mini service including a plug and oil change. The car has a card type immobiliser which works perfectly. The K90 LFF registration plate will go with the car. We have a Car Data Check from a few years ago showing no theft or accident damage. There is also service history to show a timing belt change in 2005 when the car had done 62, 461, also receipts showing various services the car has had. We have one spare key.

In the past month it has had a fair amount of work done to it including:

New discs and pads up front

New shoes at the rear

New clutch

Fresh gearbox oil

Replaced back box

New lowering springs fitted at the rear

Mop and valet.

When we got the car last year we had the front shocks replaced with new items and fitted with lowering springs, we also replaced the rear tyres. The lowering springs that have been fitted came with the car when we bought it, receipts show the springs are a 40mm drop.

The car is 16 years old however. The only bad points that come to mind are that the glove box hinge is broken, although it closes and locks fine and does not rattle. You just have to be careful when opening it. There is also slight lacquer peel on the passenger front wing and bumper. I have taken a photo of this. This was there when we got the car and hasn't got any worse. There also seems to be some water marks on the bonnet. I tried to get a photo of these as well. Once again, these were there when we got the car and haven't got any worse. With a good polish these practically disappear.

Was totally unsure of a price for her, so thought the bay of E was the best bet tbh.
