MK1 GTi 1.8 16v KR Low and Wide

I havnt had this car long but circumstances have changed so cant really justify running this as my daily…..

Car is a 1983 GTi in mars red with vinyl sliding roof,

spec is as follows

As anyone who has driven a KR mk1 will tell you this is a quick little car and puts many newer models to shame

Banded steels recently painted
Regular oil and Filter completed by me
MK2 Seats
Polished inlet manifold
Vinyl roof in mint condition
Both windows wind perfectly and seal
No leaks through roof
Dry interior
Clocks showing 59,000
No rust in spare wheel well
Kenwood CD/AUX Head unit
Good Parcelshelf
Heated rear screen working
Headlingts fully working
Starts first time every time even in well below 0 conditions
Almost new front continental tyres
No under car rust or rot to be concerned with
A Pillar Trims
Mint Condition Bumpers
Aftermarket Wheel & Boss
MFA all functioning
No rips or tears on seats
All body trims complete and good
No rust around fuel filler

Bad Bits

Some rust inside drivers door
Rust at base of front drivers wing
Small rust bubbles on skuttle
Small amount of rust around splitter
Few tairs in very back headlining
Front seets slide back and forward and fix in position but pin must be released from below
Will need two rear tyres soon
Drivers foot pad showng age
Three keys, one for fuel filler, one for doors and one for ignition (Can get a full new set for £25)
Slight oil leak from cam cover


The car is 27 years old so as usual it has all of the marks etc that are to are expected but in my opinion its still very good for its age
