Mk1 Driver Rolling shell and 140bhp engine PROJECT CAR

Need the ???'s so I'll have to pass this one on I think.

The car is a 1983 Mk1 Golf Driver.  Mars Red, DW chassis, 3-door.  New springs/dampers, polybushed wishbones, goodridge braided hoses, Campaign leather steering wheel, rev counter clocks.  Fitted with black bonnet, front wing and door, includes spare drivers door, spare dash and loads of other spares.  No interior.  Fitted with 239mm Type 2 brakes with vented, groved discs.  MIM 5-spoke alloy wheels plus various assorted spare wheels with car.

1800 DX 8v K-jet engine on 020 5-speed 'box, ex-BR Motorsport, rebuilt head and TSR tune 15k miles ago, pulled 140bhp at the fly wheel, Miltek 4-1 tubular exhaust manifold, Magnex stainless exhaust, spare Powerflow stainless exhaust, Mk2 16V master cylinder and servo, Audi caliper carriers with Tarox Mk2 16v groved, vented, drilled discs and uprated pads.  Rear beam (u/s due to damage) but fitted with Mk2 Golf GTI discs including Scirocco h-brake cables so everything to bolt onto rear beam on the car to give rear disc conversion.

Various spares with the car including spare GTI steering rack, etc…

The car previously ran Weber DCOE 40's so is equipped with a Facet fuel pump and Filter King pressure regulator.  Also has GTI ignition kit already wired up so ignition system will be plug and play.

Cobra Thatcham 1 alarm.  Loads of history with the car.  (although that's in Kent with me so will post)

95% of required parts already with the vehicle.

Car is located in County Durham, you will need a trailer AND a van to collect.

I've owned the car since 2000 and have history from before that.
