GOLF MARK 1 CABRIOLET 1.8 GTI G532 UYP

Its time to sell up im afriad, this has been in the family for a few years and was bought locally to our family, my mum had this before me and I have now owned it for a year and a half. A lot has been done since then! I live down in devon and go to University in Devon, im really after something like a mk4 audi A3 to travel upto university in birmingham where i go to univeristy.

HANDLING

-Weitec GTN Coilovers kit

-EBC turbo grooved and drilled discs and greenstuff pads, goodridge braided hoses all round, dot 5.1 fluid. (Needed to update poor original factory brakes!)

-Fully polybushed all round with bugpack red ones. See pics for proof!

-New:Front wheel bearings, CV joints, CV boots, Tie rods, wishbones.

Interior:

-Full beige leather interior, very good condition on bolsters no wear!!!

-D & W Steering Wheel from a German Cabby(havnt seen one before and subtle!)

-Alpine head unit, full speed ipod control cost mega bucks and good quality.

-Audioscape door pods with 13cm speakers.

Engine:

-Bog standard nothing touched 1.8 gti 8valve engine, just rolled onto 127000 miles, very strong, its had basically everything redone on it cooling wise, new hoses, new radiator, new water pump, new thermostat etc etc. Bert from the mk1 owners club has done most of the work on this recently so knows that literally everything has been replaced! no funny exhaust or ail filters just plain and simple!


-The previous owner to my mum was a lady driver, husband was the mechanic at mercedes exeter so was well looked after.

-New clutch at 119000.

Exterior:

-New mohair roof in more than excellent condition(ELECTRIC!)

-Good condition paint, but drove down my lane and a twig scratched down the side, not too bad but looks like a key mark.

Other:

-Clifford 650 Alarm fitted two months ago, with certificate and thatcham approved, its got warn away system, the alarm can be armed with the roof down and is a very solid and reliable alarm!!

I have spent stupid money on maintaining this car, to leave it in the condition it is now, there is really nothing that needs doing. This is a superb example, you 100% will not find a better maintained example for the money!
