Sunroof tray

Hi guys,
 my rear drain hole in the back of my sunroof tray has disintergrated,
 how do i go about replacing the tray? can seconhand ones be found or will it be a case of welding something up to rebuild it?

 any help or advice would be sweet.

Welding near the roof is something you need to be careful of! I've been told it's very easy to distort the roof as it's such a thin panel. For the area you are looking at replacing it may be best to cut the bit off a good sunroof tray as it may be quite hard to make up a repair panel the right shape. It may be a good idea to check how sound the rest of your roof is before embarking on any time consuming repair work - you'll be well hacked off if you do that bit and then find there is a load more rot somewhere else. When I started poking my roof it suddenly turned out to be shot to bits although it looked fairly solid at first :x
I've got a sunroof tray that might be going spare but not sure what that bit is like on it. I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know on sunday if you want?

I have to release it from the roof skin first unforunately!! I'll check it out though and let you know if it's any good on sunday

i can cut you a full unit out of a solid roof mate if that helps you any? might be post job tho as im up yorkshire way,

Thinking there may be problems with mine. Not seen a complete tray removed from the roof, would very interested if anyone has a photo of one they could post.
