Sills 1st or Rear arches
How would you guys approach it? Need to repair inner sill and replace whole outer sill, also replace whole inner rear arch and outer. What would you start with first; I was thinking sill 1st and work backwards maintaining a reference point.

I did arch first then sill
but where I cut the end of the new sill off was pretty tricky to line back up and weld
If I did it again, would probably do it the way you plan to

Personally I'd cut the outer still off, repair the inner still properly, tack the outer sill in place as give me a datum point and repair the rear arch then seam weld the outer sill on. The beauty of tacking things into place is that if they need moved - it's not the end of the world!

Whichever way you decide you'll have to cut one panel to meet the other,i would cut the sill of first as you know your replacing it all,cut out as much of bottom 1/4 as you can to meet new sill with a joggled overlap.replace as little as you need to sort outer arch ie-keep the weld to the flatest part of the arch dont cut into the swageline or youll never get it right again.with the sill and arch off you can get good access to inner sill and arch to repair! when you get to the rear corners make sure they meet the rear valance level. when your putting the outer arch on cut it off level to the 1/4 that you cut earlier.USE THE plastic arch to check it all looks lined up before welding it on completely take your time welding or the heat distortion will require a ton of bog to straighten it up after bashing all your hard work in with a hammer to get it all low. good look with it slabfoot.
hope this helps check my posts and pics on similar job.
