How easy is it to actually fit a new hood - frame and all....

ive just done mine refitted my roof  and it requires 2 people to get it up onto the car but other than that its pretty easy!!!!

Ross very kindly uploaded it to his own website, and I'll be using it to my hood when I get a free (and dry) weekend.

The author put his own hood on his Mark 1 golf when he realised that, after claiming that putting a hood on was best left to professionals, the bodyshop was going to get the wet-behind-the-ears-been-in-the-job-two-days trainee mechanic to do it. 8O  

Sounds like the beers are a vital part of the hood installation process….
