Correct Fuel Filler Cap

Did any other late mk1s come with the Campaign style flip filler cap other than the Campaign itself?

I need a new filler cap for my A reg 83 Golf C which I bought with a Campaign style flip cap. Chassis number suggest June 83 build and it also has slim Campaign style door pins. Can anyone clarify what filler cap I should get for originality :roll:

I'd guess that it would be the one without the funky flip bit, only going by my '82 which doesn't have one

If it is of any help my Dad's C Formel E (bought new) was an '83 Model Year registered in Jan 83 and had no flap. My GX bought used but very original and built from May '83 had no flap. So I would go for no flap.

The later Cabs had the flap too.

Cheers, have just got a standard Hella cap. Half the price of the one with the flap .
