got a water leak, but not sure how to fix it or whats leaking…pics show where its coming from…the dark rusty area, its on the right of the engine looking in from the front..any clues gladly recieved!

Isn't that the right side of the engine if you are looking from the front?
But just drain the system and remove the part that is leaking to find out what the problem is. Perhaps there is some blockage in your system which could result in higher pressure. And then the leaking starts at the weakest point in the loop.

my mates 1990 clipper has the same problem as we noticed today, could be a gasket his is the actual plastic part the hose connects to. dont no what its called or where to buy another will let you know if i find something.

Looks like its the outlet from the right hand side of the head to the heater matrix, I am unsure on your model if the thermostat hides in there or behind the water pump but either way it's a plastic case with a 'O' ring seal to the head. Replace both.

Cheers really appreciate that…So is that gunked up part that bolted to the engine with the leak a plastic component?….and if I unbolt it to swap it will water start pouring out?

Yes, so you might be as well to change the coolant at the same time by 'dropping' the lower radiator hose
