Screaming Oil Light on Dash
:dontknow: On a recent trip to Leeds my 83 yr model Mk 1 Gti started lighting up the oil warning light and making a squeeling noise. I pulled over fearing the worst, but all fluid levels were normal and the car still had all its power etc. Got it back to Oxford and am trying to change the oil pressure switches. The Motorists Discount Centre say there are four switches, I only know of two that I can find. Can anyone clear this up for me, and has anyone had a similar experience with a happy outcome?

I've got this problem for the first few minutes of driving until the engine is warm. Unfortunately it's still unsolved.
See here for some possible fixes…

it would be wise to check the oil pressure at a garage if you can as this is what the buzzer is supposed to warn you of best of luck..

oil pressure
I've got the same problem mate.
My oil pressure is fine. Its obviously the electrics. My mate is a auto electrician and he is going to have a look at it this weekend so i'll let you know what he does to fix it.
