There's a (current) Haynes manual on carburettors - no.4177 with a chapter on the DMTL…. They used to do a Weber specific book (green cover from memory)
If you're taking it apart, as long as you don't damage any gaskets they can be re-used… BUT… it's well worth getting a replacement needle valve. (only a tenner, rather than 25 or 30 for a full rebuild kit) … They can cause big trouble… I've heard of one dying on a 1 year old carb - mine died when it was about 2 years old.
