cabby 1.5 carb/running issues

Few issues

Only running on 1 maybe 2 cylinders and ign coil is getting hot - would assume its failing and would cause this failure

Have a build up of fuel which rises to the top of carb- is it time to get a rebuild kit? 

Also getting vapour and back firing out of the carb

Any help and advice much appreciated
