help with rough idle

Hi all i have got a problem with the idle it keeps going up and down and feels like it's going to cut out when slowing down this problem has come from nowhere the car was running perfect.it is the 1.6 engine with the weber carb.
Not sure if it is a electrical or fuel fault any help would be great.
